Altar Servers

This ministry provides an opportunity for Catholic youth to serve God and their parish family. It allows them to play an intricate role in the Mass itself. Altar Servers assist the priest and deacon, and set an example for all people (especially the young) during our liturgies.

After receiving the sacraments of baptism and communion, it is time for children to take the next step, in serving the church community.

If your child is interested in participating in this ministry there are four criteria that are required in order to be an Altar Server:

The child must have completed the following:
1. Should be a registered member of St. Louis Catholic Church.
2. Must be a baptized Catholic.
3. Must have received the sacrament of First Communion.
4. Must be currently enrolled and attending in the St. Louis Religious Education or attending St. Louis Catholic School.
