"Homecoming for the State of Texas"

Each year in August, thousands of folks pour into Koenig Park for our annual
celebration, once dubbed "Homecoming for the State of Texas" by the Texas
Tourist Agency.

The “granddaddy” of church festivals celebrates its birthday on Sunday, August 12, 2012 and the site will again be the shady Koenig Park on the banks of the Medina River.

Visitors from far and wide trek to Castroville for the delicious Barbecue/Sausage meal with all the fixings, prepared fresh and served with a smile by the men and women of St. Louis parish. Your table servers will keep your tea glass filled while you ponder which homemade cake to have for dessert.

Strolling the grounds, you'll find Live Music, Antiques, Crafts, Quilts, Horseshoe and Washer Tournaments, Bingo, Raffles, and the annual St. Louis Downs "Horse Racing."

2012 welcomed the new St. Louis Day Boardwalk with rides and games for all ages! It should be even better this year, so don't miss it!

The popular St. Louis Day Biergarten has another great lineup of musicians to enjoy while enjoying a cold beer or icy snow cone. Come down Saturday for a relaxing pre-St. Louis Day evening.
